Gym PA System (instructions for use)

Gym 2 has two permanently setup handheld wireless mic. Below is how it is setup and operates. Please do NOT change the settings. You should be able to operate this without ICT Services’ help but if things aren’t working please do not ‘fiddle’!

  - You will need a key to the AV cabinet (fitted into the wooden steps nearest the main gym doors). PE have their own and easiest to access but one is available from ICT services (pink tag in our key box labelled correctly)

• Turn the amp/s inside the AV cabinet on

• The wireless mic receiver is permanently powered on. There is no need to remove from the cabinet

• The large handheld mic (inside the AV cabinet) is a Shure model. It turns on at the bottom by pressing the small button and the light at the bottom goes green

• Volume is controlled by the dial labelled on the amp as “Shure Mic” or the main volume dial

• There are also 2 spare AA batteries in case the range of the mic drops out. Currently it operates from the far corner of the gym rather well. Please replace these batteries if you need to change the mic batteries

• To change the batteries unscrew the bottom half of the mic. Do not to change any of the other settings inside the mic

• Power everything down in reverse to the above

Note, there is another wireless setup in the AV cabinet (not plugged in). Please ignore this. It is used for Yoga etc
