Microsoft Edge

Edge is the default browser on all Windows 10 devices.

It has a number of handy features that are useful in the classroom that you may not know about. Here are a few of them:

Set aside tabs
If you have a group of tabs open for a particular purpose but it's time to do something else for a while you can save the tabs to reopen them again later.

Web Notes
Annotate anything displayed in your Edge browser using inking tools - a stylus is best but you can use your mouse to highlight, etc. Then save it or share it.

Reading View
Remove all the distractions from a web page to just display the content that you are interested in.

Share
Share a web note, tab set or individual web page by just clicking the share button. You can share with another person or share to OneNote.

Read Aloud
Edge can read the contents of your web page out loud to you, highlighting the words as you go and at the speed of your choice. This is really handy when combined with Reading View.

Tab Thumbnails
You can display thumbnails of open tabs to make it easier to find the tab you want when you have a lot of tabs open.

Annotate PDF Documents
You can add notes, highlights to PDF documents and save the PDF.
